Installation

  • Install brew
    In Finder or Spotlight, search for and open terminal. In the terminal that will open, paste this:

    And press enter.

  • After the installation, install the required packages by pasting the commands and pressing enter, one-by-one:

    brew install https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/f2a764ef944b1080be64bd88dca9a1d80130c558/Formula/python.rb --with-brewed-openssl
    brew install git
    brew install ffmpeg --with-ffplay
    brew install opus

  • Enter the folder you want to install Red in through the Terminal:use the command cd (change directory) and ls (list files/dirs) to navigate to the folder.For example, if you want Red to be installed in Applications inside a folder named Discord Stuff,you could type cd 'Applications/Discord Stuff' (notice, if you have a space in a folder name, surround the path with quotes)or you could type cd Applications then ls to make sure you’re in the right place, then cd 'Discord Stuff'or you could type cd then drag the folder from finder into terminal before pressing enter

  • Paste this command into terminal and press enter:

    Do not close the terminal afterwards. If this works, the content of the folder should be this:

  • Run export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/Cellar/opus/1.1.2/lib/ in the terminal

  • Run cd Red-DiscordBot in the terminal

  • Then python3 launcher.py

  • This will open Red’s launcher. The launcher is an applications made to facilitate many common operations. Navigating the menus is simple: pick a number and press enter.

  • Install the requirements by reaching the correct submenu

  • You can now run Red from the launcher’s main menu

  • Complete the initial setup. During the setup, you will be asked to enter a token. Get one here. If you get stuck, follow the bot accounts guide.

  • To invite your bot, use the link given to you in the Terminal when Red has been started.

  • Consider consulting the Getting started page for a practical guide on familiarizing yourself with Red.

Tip:
The launcher will create 2 scripts: start_red.command and start_red_autostart.command. You can use those to startRed directly without passing through the launcher.

The Red Hat Customer Portal delivers the knowledge, expertise, and guidance available through your Red Hat subscription. Platforms - Mac OS X Platform Red Hat JBoss Operations Network 3.2 Red. The procedure below will reset the permissions of a home folder in OS X 10.7.4 or later. If you're running an earlier version of 10.7, update to the latest version first. This procedure should not be used in OS X versions older than 10.7.4. Back up all data before you begin. Click the Finder icon in the Dock. A Finder window will open.

  • Mac OS X creates metadata files as and when files are saved to the hard drive. These metadata files can also be viewed further giving malicious actors the extra edge. It is recommended that Mac OS X users disable creation of Metadata Files to further boost the privacy levels.
  • Entity Framework as ORM and for Migrations; to work exclusively from my Mac; To make this possible, I’m using ASP.NET Core with Entity Framework Core. For the database, I use a Docker image with Sql Server for Linux that can run on Mac. So this is how it goes.
Important:
If the login fails with ‘SSLError’ it may be necessary to run this command first:
python3 -m pip install certifi
