  1. Periodically, some Mac systems may experience jumpy cursors when using mice. Here are some options for troubleshooting this behavior.
  2. Some people see small red squares at random across their display; our reader and a few others have it happen only when they use QuickLook, the Finder and Open dialog preview method of selecting an.

Since I bought my MacBook I had problems with my cursor when attaching my MacBook to my external monitor or TV. It was jumping all over the place and I tried several possible solutions, but nothing seemed to help. But now I finally found a permanent solution to the problem and it's actually quite simple. I wanted to share my solution so other people don't have to go thru all of my troubles. I personally use a MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch from Mid 2014, but the fix should work for any MacBook. This fix is intended for any mouse connected to your MacBook thru USB.

Jump Force Mac OS X – Ultimate Edition – This combat game for Mac has been long-awaited by all the Manga fans. From here you can get the new Jump Force Mac OS X on your Macbook/iMac, 100% FREE and with just a few clicks. If you are tired of Dragon Ball Xenoverse series or you think that the Street Fighter games are old, this game is everything you need. It turns out the power function on many GPU’s is very expensive. You can simplify it as a square root. A square root is raising the value to the 1 over 2.2 power. I have used G500 once on Mac OS X and it worked alright except for the jumping cursor exactly as on the video above. What you describe seems different to the problem described above, so I suggest you to try your mouse on other OSes and see if it does the same.

The fix (OS X El Capitan):

Go to Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad and check 'Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present'.

And that's actually all that's too it. But if you want an even smoother mouse experience - or you're an ex-Windows user who misses the smoother mouse movement that Windows has to offer - I strongly advice you download and install SmoothMouse. This program should also get rid of any mouse lag / jumping if any would still exist.

Additionally:

I personally use the logitech M705 mouse and this mouse has additional buttons which I couldn't configure, but I found a great program with which I can. It's called SteerMouse and if you install SmoothMouse first, I found that the mouse drivers wouldn't interfere with each other. In my opinion this gives you the best USB mouse experience possible on a MacBook attached to an external display. With SteerMouse you can assign almost any functionalities to any additional buttons you have on your mouse.
